The ex Europa was awarded to the French Line as a war reparation for the loss of their Transatlantic liners Normandie, Champlain and Lafayette. Only the beloved Ille de France survived the war. To make matters worse the Europa, now newly named Liberte broke loose from her moorings during a storm in the port of Le Havre ramming the sunken hulk of the Paris and sinking upright. Refloated and rebuilt the Liberte became the new flagship of "France Afloat". Edition is limited to 500 pieces.
