The incident that never existed in James Cameron's film "Titanic". Suction from the Titanic's screws snapped the mooring hawsers on the American Line's SS New York as the great ship passed along side. This happened shortly after leaving Southampton Ocean Dock. A catastrophe seemed iminent until the Captain of the river tug Vulcan skillfully caught the New York and averted disaster. Titanic's siter ship had a similiar occurence with the HMS Hawk. Neither vessel sank although both were severely damaged and needed extensive repairs. Things were getting bigger and more uncontrollable every year as the race for the largest, fastest, most luxurious floating palaces commenced. Size is 11x17 on 80lb glossy archival stock. An instant collectible with an edition of only 400 pieces.
